O'Malley's Vet Bill

Update: We now know that we actually owe around $850.00. I can't even begin to express the gratitude we have for those who have donated.
O'Malley had a rough start to life. We found him in the backyard, starving and terrified last July. His first day in our home was July 4th. The fireworks were terrifying for him. He has been a grateful and loving companion to our family, but most especially to our son, Joey, every day since.
The day before yesterday, he spent the day running, playing, eating, and sleeping. Everything seemed fine. Then yesterday, he didn’t come running when I opened the tins for breakfast like he normally does. I found him sleeping on my bed. I picked him up and carried him to the kitchen and sat him in front of his plate. He sat in front of it, just staring. He started to walk away, stopped and squatted like he was trying to pee. I sat down beside him and started to pet him to try to find the problem. He cried when I touched his hip, so I thought maybe he had injured himself.
We took him to the vet immediately and upon examination, Dr. Raab found that his bladder was about the size of his head. She was able to express some urine, but not a lot. She told us that this is a life or death situation and he needed surgery immediately or his kidneys would shut down. Obviously we said, "Do whatever you need to."
Which leaves us in a financial bind. We could really use a little help. We will absolutely pay back anyone who helps out. It just might take us a couple of months to get everyone paid back.
I don’t have an exact amount as he may still spend another night, but our estimate is $1400. We paid half of that yesterday.
