Ohio who Fan Convention
Donation protected
Hello fellow Whovians. We are Heather Daly and Linda Blackwood and we need your help to raise money for a very special reason. As some of you may know a variety of guests and artist from our favorite TV show were booked to appear at Time Lord Expo in Ohio alongside many vendors and exhibits. Unfortunately this was cancelled for a variety of reasons and it left a lot of fans upset and disappointed. However one of the stars (Caitlin Blackwood – Young Amelia Pond) that had been booked still had to travel to the Cincinnati area so she asked her mum Linda to help her arrange a small meet and greet for any fans who wanted to come along anyway. Linda reached out to Heather from Wibbily Wobbly Timey Wimey (whom they had met at a previous convention) and they teamed up with Terry Molloy (Davros) and agreed to throw a mini convention for the fans which they have named Ohio Who.
So as is the way of this fandom of ours, from the disappointment rose something that is shaping up to be pretty magnificent and it is all about the fans. Both Terry and Caitlin have agreed to forego their usual fees in order to do this selflessly for the people who have supported them throughout their time on the show. They will only earn from what people purchase on the day.
As grateful as we are to both Terry and Caitlin for helping us to bring this event to the Whovians of Ohio there are cost in bringing this event to the people. Some of these costs are being paid for by the stars themselves. Caitlin alone is in over $4000 worth of debt for flights and hotels that she incurred in the hopes of making it back from her normal fee, which she has now waived. It is not fair for a 17 year old. Similarly Terry has waived his normal fee and even dropped his autograph fee to make this fan based convention more accessible. What we are hoping you will do is help us out, with any size donation, to repay the expenses for both these wonderful, warm, caring human beings. Without their help, input and expertise this convention wouldn’t be happening for the fans.
Thank you
