This gofundme has been set up to support Madeline (22 months), Evan (3 months) Diandra ,and Drew Decovney.
Drew has been a dedicated member of the METRO police force, serving as an officer for 10 years , and is sole supporter of his famy.
On February 12, 2016, as the family was returning home from a family dinner , Drew, Diandra, Evan and Madeline were in a multiple vehicle accident. Their car was rear-ended at a high speed, which caused their vehicle to collide into the car in front of them. The driver who caused the collision, totaled the family’s automobile, and was texting one minute prior to this horrific accident.
Miraculously 3-month old Evan was unharmed, but Diandra and Drew suffered injuries and 22-month old Madeline suffered significant injuries.
Madeline has multiple skull fractures, a traumatic brain injury (diffuse axonal injury), and is currently receiving excellent care at Texas Children’s Hospital. According to the neurosurgeon, Madeline has yet to regain full consciousness, has lost her ability to speak and has very limited motor function mobility. Madeline will have a long road to recovery, one that will include multiple specialists and physical therapy. Drew has torn muscles in his right leg which has forced him off of active duty. Diandra injured right arm . Family members will be coming to help Diandra and Drew and take care of baby Evan, but this is a very expensive mishap to a young couple with very young children.
The current out of pocket medical expenses, given Madeline’s prognosis to date, will stand at more then $5,000 and it is only expected to increase for them. Diandra will not be able to take care of baby Evan and Madeline alone and her family will need to travel back and forth from south Texas to help her. We are raising money to help with Madeline, Drew and Diandra’s medical expenses and also to help alleviate financial stress of mounting related bills.

We need strength for her parents and loved ones who are staying close by to help, we need her brain to repair itself, we need Madeline to come home to her family.
