Out of Favor Boys has been around since 2003. In 14 years, we've grown as men, husbands and fathers. We've also grown as musicians and as songwriters.
In January 2017, we started recording a collection of songs that we've written over the last year. We think they're the best songs we've written as a band and we're very excited to record them and share them with all of you.
We have the opportunity to work with a producer - Pete Galanis (Howard and the White Boys, Toronzo Cannon, etc.) - and work in a decorated Chicago studio that has truly worked with some of the greatest names in the blues.
To get this recording "out there" by summer, we need to work feverishly through the winter and spring. To do that work, we need money. Your support will help us make the professional recording that we've always wanted to make. It will help us realize this dream and meet this professional milestone.
We can't do it without you. As much as we do it for ourselves, we wouldn't do any of it without you anyway. You - our families, supporters and friends - have always made it possible for us to do this. You've given us the most important thing an artist can have - an audience.
We're pretty uncomfortable asking for money, so we want to give you something good in return. The "rewards" we're offering are mostly advance orders of the CD or OFB gigs. We're confident you'll like what you get in return. And we definitely appreciate your support.
