Incredibly sad news has reached us. Ofa Loketi has passed away after a sudden and unexpected illness.
Ofa came to Finland five years ago and immediately won the hearts of everyone with his laid-back and sunny Tongan attitude. He was a perfect example of true character: as tough as anything you could run into on the pitch and outside of it the gentlest person one could meet.
Ofa was an integral element in making Helsinki Rugby Club team and a friend to many. The final whistle came too soon and words fail to describe the sadness felt by everyone who had the privilege to know him. Ofa's passing leaves an empty space far greater than his physical presence.
We offer our deepest condolences to his wife Sara, his son Luka, and the Loketi family in Tonga, our hearts go out to you. Please accept this fund as our way of showing support for your family in this time of mourning.
Rest in peace friend. You will be sadly missed.
