Yesterday the world lost more than an amazing man, it lost an amazing husband, friend, and father. I am so grateful to have had him as part of my life. Thank you John for always taking me in as one of your own. Thank you for giving me a noogie everytime you caught me in the kitchen stealing food. Thank you for scaring the hell out of me and Cass that time in the woods- just so you could tell us how to better escape a kidnapper if it were a real situation. Thank you for being my fellow "crankster" in the house and for always stocking the bottom drawer with oatmeal creme pies (our favorite). Thank you for only laughing a little bit when your rooster attacked me (and then confirming with me I wouldn't get a weird rooster disease like Cass told me). Thank you for always sneaking into my car before I woke up to make sure the junker would take me home safe another day. Thank you for being my family even if we didn't share the same blood. You will be forever missed and always hold a special place in my heart. This world is truly a duller place without you in it.
