Help us raise $6,000 for our Hogg Middle School Odyssey of the Mind team to go to World!
Odyssey of the Mind is a 40-year-old creativity competition. Teams are given a long term problem and have to come up with a creative solution. Our team has to launch a balsa wood structure across the room and then proceed to put weights on it, while also giving an original carnival-themed performance. Then, each team participates in a spontaneous portion of the competition where team members are given 2-5 minutes to come up with creative answers on the spot. Members of our OM team have been competing since third grade, always reaching further and further towards their dream of World Competition. This year, to our excitement, we were informed that our team has earned a spot as World Finalists! We will be representing Texas at a competition where there are over 800 teams from 25 different countries! However, we just found out a few days ago, and the competition is in a few weeks. We are scrambling to acquire the funds for airfare as well as room and board. It will cost around $1,000 per participant, and there are six girls competing, coming to a total of $6,000. We would greatly appreciate it if you would help support our Odyssey of the Mind team from Hogg Middle School, fulfilling our long-awaited dream of World!
