Odin Codds Go Fund Me for Cancer

8/5/19 was one of those days that changes your life. You really don't get it until it's happening to you.
Odin Codd, Christina and Marshall Codds14yo son, had difficulty breathing. They just thought it was bronchitis again.
They did a chest x-ray.
There was a mass. ...
They did a CT scan...
Definitely a mass.
He was transferred to a childrens hospital..
Saw an oncologist...
They kept saying lymphoma.
Christin finally just asked, "is it really cancer?"
"Yes, we're using the big C word."
She told her son "we have to keep saying cancer so we can acknowledge it, to not be afraid of the word. We can be afraid of this journey, but not a word."
It happened in a matter of months. He had a clean chest a few months ago (bronchitis). Odin said f@#k cancer.
And that's the plan. He was diagnosed with T-Cell Lymphoma. It is very treatable.
Christina and Marshall live in Marquette, MI. Christina has quit her job to stay with Odin in Minneapolis for treatment (at least 9 months)Marshall will not be working this winter as he had plans to go back to school for a music degree at Northern Michigan University. He just retired from the Military last year. Marshall will be taking care of his other two children Lila,9 and Marek,11 in Marquette once school starts. This Go Fund Me is set up to help defer the costs of medical expenses and travel back and forth for the next year. Anything helps!
A little about the Mighty Odin. Odin is an old soul with a witty sense of humor. He's very empathetic and always wants people happy. He puts others first and has had an impact on so many people. He is a big brother, great friend, and all around amazing kid. His humor catches you off guard and he loves to bake for people. He went to school in Marquette Mi. and was just about to start high school. He will now be doing this year online in Minneapolis during treatment. He is an honors student, plays saxophone in band and was the student council representative for his entire class last year. He is taking this all in stride with an amazing attitude.
