Ó Chuan go Cuan do Cancer Care West

Mar is eol daoibh, i mí Bealtaine 2018 fuair mo bhean chéile Bridie an drochscéala go raibh ailse bhrollaigh uirthi. Tar éis ceimiteiripe, radaiteiripe agus obráid bhí an t-ádh uirthi theacht tríd. De bharr an méid cúnamh agus tacaíocht a fuair sí ón gcarthanacht Cancer Care West, tá mé chun airgead a bhailiú dóibh.

Ar an 28ú Meitheamh tá mé chun 11 míle a iomradh ón Sruthán ar an gCeathrú Rua chomh fada le céibh Chill Rónáin in Inis Mór.

Bheinn fíor bhuíoch as síntús a fháil mas féidir leat, beag nó mór.

Go raibh maith agaibh uilig roimh ré.

Máirtín, Bridie agus a gclann

For those of you who know me, you may know my wife Bridie Griffin was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in early 2018, after completing Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy as well as undergoing surgery, Bridie was successfully cleared.

Due to the support given to Bridie throughout her treatment and subsequent recovery period from Surgery, I have decided to complete an 11 mile row in a curragh from Srúthan Pier, Carraroe to Kilronan Pier, Inis Mór ; in order to raise much needed funds for Cancer Care West.

Cancer Care West currently provide a host of services for Cancer Patients and Survivors such as: Oncology Nursing Support,Supportive Counselling,Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Anxiety, Depression and Fatigue, Physical Fitness and Cancer Rehab among others. I plan to complete the row on Friday the 28th of June (weather permitting).
