Hey! My name is Lee and I'm a transgender guy. At the time of writing this, I've been on testosterone for nine months, and I've been out and proud as a trans man since 2015.
I'm asking for donations to help me finally get chest reconstruction surgery, which basically means taking the fat from my chest aka taking away my titties. I'm currently in the process of trying to get this to happen with the NHS, but this will take minimum another year to happen (and that's just referral, let alone a wait list for surgery!). With how much dysphoria and pain having additional breast tissue causes me, I'd like to have this surgery done privately!
Right now I wear binders to constrict my chest which leads to pain in my back, shoulders and ribs (even when worn safely). This is something I wear even when at home in case we have visits from people I don't know and they perceive me as female. It is also an additional layer which means I overheat often, and cannot enjoy summer as much as I'd like to!
Even with a binder my shape is not as masculine as I would like, and I still get misgendered. This is likely to happen less often after surgery! This will help my mental health as being misgendered time and time again really does damage to by mental wellbeing.
Most importantly having my chest changed to look masculine would make me a much happier and more confident man. Unfortunately, this is an expensive goal, which is why I'm asking for help. For the consultation and surgery, I'm looking at around the 6 - 7k mark and any donation would be gratefully received and loved!
