Please help us bring baby Ava home where she belongs.
Ava was raised by her father (my son), Kyle James for the first 2 months of her life.
Three weeks ago Ava's mother got out of jail for domestic violence (with an open dcf case for neglecting Ava) she allowed a sheriff to rip Ava out of Kyles arms and had been living in Tennessee with her...roaming around to whomever would take them in, even though the families she choose to be around Ava were well known drug addicts.
In the few weeks Ava has been gone, she has lived in 4 different homes, her mother is back in jail with warrants in 2 different counties, she has been using pills, drinking and has crashed a car (thankfully Ava wasn't in the car this time). She has mental and anger problems and also has three other children that she's lost custody of due to neglecting them.
Dcf has placed Ava with a family of alcoholics who are regulars to their local methadone clinic. They are the parents of Ava's mother.
In the state of Florida, if a couple isn't married, the father of a child born in florida has no rights, grandparents have even less.
Our home is the only home prior to this that Ava has ever known and Kyle is the only loving parent she has ever known.
Kyle James is in for the fight of his life to get his precious daughter back home where she was well cared for, loved, spoiled and cherished.
We have an awesome lawyer with an A+ track record for fighting for the rights of father's who have been kicked out of their children's lives by spiteful, vindictive ex partners.
Kyle works at Ramshackle Cafe and has been trying to put every dollar away towards his attorney fees & as his mom and step-father we have been helping him as best we can.
However, he is still short $1250.00 for the second half of the retainer due in two weeks.
Also...funds to help him get to Tennessee to get his little girl.
We're asking if anyone can, to help us bring Ava home.
Our hearts have been broken, our lives have been shattered...but none more than her Daddy...who misses his "love bug" more than anyone could ever imagine.
