Help us welcome refugees to NYC!
We made our goal! Thank you! We're keeping the campaign open to raise as much as possible to help these families. All of the extra funds will go directly to ICNA Relief. We appreciate your generosity in helping to spread some NYC LOVE!
At Real New York Tours , our love for NYC runs deep. We believe what makes New York City one of the greatest cities in the world is that it is a city of the world.
The city's rich history and cultural diversity are a huge part of what makes it such a special place to visit or call home and we strive to share that love with guests from all over the world, everyday. But we want to do more.
We believe in building bridges through love and compassion and it's our great honor to be partnering with ICNA Relief of New Jersey to help 50 refugee families get to know NYC a little better. These families, from Iraq and Syria, have fled their homes in terror and suffered tremendous losses. ICNA Relief's mission is "to alleviate human suffering by providing caring and compassionate service to victims of adversities and survivors of disasters." The New Jersey chapter alone is currently helping by raising money for food, shelter, clothing, cars, toys, and medical care for these families in addition to providing tutoring and educational services. Together, we're excited to be offering "Get to Know NYC" days this spring for over 150+ refugees. We'll start our day exploring some iconic neighborhoods and sites in Manhattan - like Times Square and Central Park. Then, we'll sit down for a the quintessential NYC lunch - a slice of pizza, before heading back to New Jersey!
RNYT's will be donating the guides and tours for this special week in April but, as a small family company, we still need your help to make this day happen.
We're hoping, with your help, to raise enough money to pay for the full transportation and lunch costs for these families who are new to calling NJ/NYC their homes. We hope you’ll join The Real New York Tour family and help us in welcoming them.
All donations will go toward the NJTranist and MTA subway tickets and meals for the 150+ refugees.
All money raised over our $6,000 goal will go to ICNA Relief directly to assist with their numerous care-giving needs for these families.
Please join us in building bridges and love - any amount is greatly appreciated.
Your generous donations have helped create such joy and good memories. We can't thank you enough!
There's still plenty of time to donate if you know of anyone else who might want to share some NYC love!
Now on to Day 4!!
Luke and friends at R.N.Y. Tours: you people are absolutely fantastic and I truly admire your grand gesture. Wishing I was there to see it all (could not tell them much about NYC, but hey, could tell a lot about Amsterdam and after all, this was once upon a time called New Amsterdam).... Hope you'll get the necessary amount together!!!
