The 2017 NYC Songwriting Contest
Hi everyone! My name is Trystan Matthews.
I am the founder of 5050songs Music Publishing.
The idea for my music business started when I was attending Berklee College of Music in Boston. One of my professors gave me the idea to produce song demos because I wanted a way to make people happy through music. For 12 years I have been demoing songs, getting them out to the world and putting smiles on people's faces.
Now I want to take that passion a step further.
Not only will helping other people create songs make them happy, but it is also a dream for many to write one that is meaningful to them.
Did you know that songwriting is a part of many people’s bucket lists?
This is where my media project comes in.
I want to ring in the New Year by driving a songwriting contest that will be open to everyone who has ever wanted to have their creative dream be a reality.
You or someone you know can be a part of this contest too. Submit your song or your lyrics to our website and share with your friends and family. Everyone will take part in the voting process from now until January 1st, 2017.
Winners of this contest will be a part of a revolutionary project in Sear Sound, which used to be known as 'The Hit Factory' . It was the studio that John Lennon used to record some of his last work. Not only that, but they will have their song produced in the studio on January 17th, 2017 with our talented team of musicians AND have a music video made.
Your donations to this project will help people fulfill their lifelong dream of having their song produced.
