NYAA is Sponsoring a Youth Basketball Tournament for Boy's and Girls Grades 3rd -12th in which all proceeds will go to St. Judes Children's Hospital. St. Jude's Hospital Helps Children treat and defeat childhood cancer and other life threatening diseases. The Tournament is Being held at MidAmerican Sports Center in Louisville, Kentucky.
-St. Jude has treated children from all 50 states and from around the world.
-St. Jude freely shares the breakthroughs it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
-Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
-St. Jude has developed protocols that have helped push overall survival rates for childhood cancers from less than 20% when the hospital opened in 1962 to more than 80% today.
-St. Jude is where doctors send their toughest cases because St. Jude has the world's best survival rates for the most aggressive childhood cancers.
-Approximately 75% of the budgeted costs of St. Jude are covered by public contributions.
