My name is Lee Furnace Jr. I am the founder and president of Major Decision Wrestling Club. Major Decision wrestling is a registered Missouri 501(c) 3. My staff and I have been serving youth in the city of Ferguson and surrounding areas through the sport of wrestling since the spring of 2008. Since 2008, the Major Decision Wrestling Club has been a stable and consistent source for young people in the St. Louis area for lessons in manhood, for promoting the importance of scholarship, for teaching our young people how to persevere though challenging obstacles in life and for uplifting their spirits and the community we service. 
Within this time we have been able to positively influence the lives of over 300 young people in the St. Louis area alone. We have organized many community service projects. Our young people and staff have contributed over 1000 community service hours. Each year at least 95% of our senior wrestlers received scholarships to continue their educations at four-year universities, junior colleges, or trade schools. Our wrestlers have earned over 100 state wrestling medals. 9 of our wrestlers have earned collegiate All American and Academic All American honors. Our Club has competed in 13 different states. Our club has produced great wrestlers but we are most proud of the great men that our club members grow up to become.
We are in great need of financial support for our members. Many of our young people live in low-income households and cannot afford things such as wrestling shoes, workout gear and USA Wrestling insurance cards. Weekly tournament fees can be as much as $20 and major tournaments can cost as much as $65. Our out of town competitions cost our program close to $4,000.00 to transport, house and feed 20 plus student athletes. On often occasions, these out of town events are the first time our wrestlers have ever traveled outside of their city limits. We are in need of team competition singlets, team warm ups and team bags. Your contribution will go directly to these needs and also to ensure that Major Decision Wrestling can continue to give love encouragement and direction to our kids through the sport of wrestling.
