Health Connected

If you, like most adults, have flashbacks to your gym teachers painfully "teaching" sex ed in high school as you and your classmates sat in the room feeling uncomfortable, disgusted, offended, or deeply confused, you can imagine the impact accurate, engaging, and approachable sexual health education has on young people in the Bay Area.

Health Connected helps young people feel confident and supported to make informed decisions about their own sexual health through three programs Youth Services (puberty and sexual health education in schools), Parent Services (workshops on parent/child communication about sexual health), and Training & Technical Assistance for education professionals (meaning scalable sexual health education).

My goal for this campaign is to reach $5,000, which would fully support two (one-week) puberty education programs for 5th/6th graders and two (two-week) sexuality education program for high schoolers! That represents more than 100 students that will be empowered to make informed health decisions as they navigate adolescence and adulthood.
