In Memory of Dale Kevin Meyer

Just 48hrs ago the love of my life left to join the angels. He is now free of pain and suffering he endured just in the last few months. Many of you that have texted and responded to the multiple shares of the original post with shock because no one knew he was sick. This has all happened so fast and he didn't want many people to know, he wanted to beat this. He had surgery to remove intestinal cancer on Feb 1st because of signs of jaundice just days before. When we learned just last Monday, May 14th that his cancer had spread beyond any remedy, he decided to be at home surrounded in love with family and friends until the end. Dale was so adventurous and gave his heart and soul to anyone in need but he didn't understand or realize how many people love him that he had touched throughout his life. We want to celebrate him and honor his wishes with his favorite songs, prayers and stories of this incredible man. He has encouraged anyone that wants to speak or write down thoughts for someone else to read at the celebration on June 10th at 12pm at the San Moritz Lodge. Please understand that the many messages I've received have been read but responding is difficult. There are no words to express the devastating sadness left behind, but knowing how loved he was by so many, is a true comfort.
Thank you all,
Brenda Meyer

In lieu of flowers and gifts, we have established a GoFundMe account to provide scholarships and support for local schools as well as cancer research for rare GI specific cancers.  Scholarships will be awarded to students who exemplify the character and principals of Dale Meyer.

Friends and family are celebrating Dale's life with stories, memories, and laughter at A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, 6/10/18 at San Moritz Lodge locates at 24640 San Moritz Drive, Crestline, CA 92325, at 12:00 p.m.

Please be aware that no funds will be used by the family for personal expenses as all funeral expenses and costs associated have been provided for.

He was surrounded by family, friends, and puppies overlooking his lake that he so loved. We were all able to give Dale our love, and receive the love that God was gracious enough to grant from Dale, as he peacefully passed from complications with cancer. Dale Meyer was an incredible husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, teacher, co-worker, friend and so much more. He left this earth having known unconditional love by so many.

God bless you Dale! Thank you for your love, your spirit, your smiles and laughter, and most of all the amazing life of wonderful adventures and memories. You will never be far from our hearts or minds. We will do our best to live our lives in a manner we know you would be proud of, and to honor you by living life FAST, as we know you would approve! We love you MORE ❤️
