NUIG BC and Tribes Road to Henley

Donation protected
Hi All,

We at NUIG BC are currently fundraising for our trip to Henley Women's Regatta and Henley Royal Regatta. Henley Regatta is one of the most prestigious rowing events in the world.

NUIG BC is one of the most successful clubs in the university and indeed in Irish rowing. The 2017 season was the most successful in the club's history with a record number of nine national championship victories.
At the recent University Championships, the women's crew retained the Bank of Ireland Cup and for the first time in the university's history, NUIG won the Victor Lodorum for the best overall club.
Following on this success, the women's side of our club NUIG BC have decided to target three events at Henley Women's Regatta, and  we hope to qualify an 8+ for Henley Royal Regatta.

If our bid to compete for a spot in the Remenham Challenge Cup at Henley Royal Regatta is successful,  we would need to stay in Henley-on-Thames for 18 days from the beginning of Women's Henley through to Henley Royal.
To send our 21 athletes and three coxes to this event, most of whom are full time students,  we need to raise in the region of 15,000 euro.

This is the first time a women's crew from NUIG has had the opportunity to go to Henley Regatta in 12 years, and is a great opportunity for us to showcase women in sport.
We are certain any rowers, past or present, appreciate the rare opportunity we are presented with and the long-lasting  experience to be gained from racing at Henley Regatta.

Any donation big or small would be a huge help to us on our journey.

Many thanks,
All at NUIG Boat Club
