Nubri, Nepal Earthquake Relief

My name is Jesse Rockwell. I was raised as a young kid in Kathmandu, Nepal. In April 2015 Nepal was struck by a massive Earthquake that destroyed countless villages, homes and cultural treasures. 

In June 2016 I will be traveling to the Gorkha District of Nepal to help the people of Nubri and the surrounding area, where I have close family connections. The Gorkha District encompasses many small villages and settlements, and is one of the poorest and most remote in the whole Kingdom. This area has received little support or attention from the Nepali government, whose corruption has become evident and infuriating since the tragedy.

I'll be offering assistance by supplying much needed resources such as clothing, tools and household supplies. The money I raise here, as well as $1500 of my own will be used to purchase goods in Kathmandu and transport them to Arughat where they will be carried to the affected households and villages. 

This trip is my way of giving back to the people who have meant so much in my life, and who, without effort show how happiness is essential to the wellbeing of humanity. Any and all of your assistance will be used directly in the purchase of goods, and transport of materials to the affected villages in the Gorkha District.
