Medical and health insurance help?

Long story short, a few years ago I started having random pain in my back that felt like nothing I'd really felt before. Slowly, over time, it progressed and started radiating into an area that made the doctors think I had Chron's(how I wish it was). A year of no improvement, and two colonoscopies later, I was told it couldn't possibly be Chron's. So I eventually went to get an MRI of my back,and was told to wait a week or so. The very next morning they called and said that I have a large tumor in my spinal cord. Things got rough from there. I was able to get in with a fantastic neuro-spinal surgeon. He did a laminectomy and biopsy, and then basically said there's nothing that can be done. Less than 1 in 1 million odds of getting this thing that can't be defined. Anyways, I'm struggling now to pay bills and COBRA insurance, while waiting to see what happens.  Any help would be much appreciated.
