Christopher's Universiñera
The thought came from being recently asked to be padrinos (Godparents/sponsors) for someone's quinceañera .
For a quinceañera - people ask for money to celebrate their daughter's 15th birthday as a rite of passage.
For this event - money/donations will be used for my son's college education.
For the purpose of this fund request - this event will be called an Universiñera (a made up word where I combined quinceañera with university).

About Christopher/Acerca de Chris:
Christopher is kind, thoughtful, generous, smart, quite witty & loveable.
-He is excited about being 18 because he is now be able to vote.
-He loves history - specifically American/US history.
-He enjoys watching political news, news & shows related to history & politics.
-Other things that he enjoys - playing video games, watching sports on tv - hanging out with his friends - & rooting for his younger sisters at their ice-hockey games.
-He volunteered at a nursing home for about 2 1/2 years (from just before he turned 14 up until this past year).
Monies from this fund will go toward Christopher's college tuition, room & board and books & supplies.

La idea me vino cuando recientemente alguien nos pidió ser padrinos de una quinceañera.
Para una quinceañera - personas piden dinero para celebrar el cumpleaños de su hija como un rito de paso. Para este evento - el dinero / donaciones se utilizarán para la educación universitaria de mi hijo.
Para el propósito de esta solicitud de fondos - este evento será llamada Universiñera (una palabra compuesta donde combiné quinceañera con la universidad).
El dinero de este fondo se destinará a la matrícula universitaria, alojamiento y comida y libros y suministros de Christopher.
