Helping the Homeless in Detroit
The Rock That Photography Conference along with the NSO ( Neighborhood Service Organization ) in Detroit MI will be raising funds to service the NSO centers and people. The NSO serves the Homeless population in the Detroit community with transitional housing, food and supplies ,emergency services.
The attendees of the upcoming MAPP - Rock That Photography Conference are raising funds to host a dinner for 160 residents of the NSO Bell Building, along with that we will be providing care packages for each individual around 60/40 split women to men, these care packs will include everyday personal items, clothes, games etc.
The Conference takes place September 20th-22nd, and attendees have volunteered their own time out of the conference to pack up the care bags and deliver them, at that same time we'll be providing lunch for those living in the Bell Building and spending time getting to know them and encouraging one another.
Our goal amount includes the cost of lunch for the 160 in the care of the NSO, the care packs and supplies for the NSO locations including their 24 hour emergency center .
I ask that you help us by giving what you can and/or sharing this so others have the opportunity to help . We would love to meet our goal by September 19th .
