UPDATE Aug 17: Well, we did an #NP_TakeOver of the #DCTacoMIile. So many of us have registered and answered the call to #justshow up that we need a significantly larger number of tacos than we had planned. I've updated the GoFundMe page accordingly and remain so very grateful for your willingness to help bring this event to life. As a reminder, any funds raised beyond the taco cost will be donated to a DC charity.

What's a taco mile? Combine two of your favorite things--running and tacos!--in a race against the clock. It's you, 4 tacos, and 1 mile. Yes, you MUST eat the tacos.
This taco run is free to all runners; there is no registration fee and no required donation. And while we have awesome and very generous support from our community partners (including Shack Track & Field, Pacers and District Taco), the reality is that I am still left with a little bit of a taco bill.
We'll be consuming approx 300 tacos over the course of all those miles (did you even know that #TacoMath is a thing?). I'd welcome anything you could consider chipping in to help cover the remaining costs. I am more than happy to contribute myself (I was the first donation!), but would welcome any support from y'all. Every dollar and donation helps, and is greatly appreciated.
And since I know this group is known to be generous: We may end up with more money than needs to go to tacos, we'll be donating any remaining funds to a local DC child-focused organization.
