About the Initiative: Georgia ranks 5th with HIV infections among teens. Statistics report that HIV is increasing among young people since 2010 and Atlanta, Georgia ranks highest in the nation. Even with medical developments such Prep and Pep, young people still must be vigilant and educated on prevention. The Initiative includes a mostly factual movie that offers educational solutions to those not infected and support to those living with HIV.
Young people are giving up their weekends to participate in the film and spread ther word. Eliminate HIV and its stigma so young people won't get infected and those living with HIV can live healthy lives.

This is a feature film about the journey of several Young people, but mainly about Andre's journey from chaos to hope after getting an HIV diagnosis.
The movie deals with the realities of living with the disease and its stigma but filmed in a way that pulls other youth issues into the conversation.
This coming of age movie address relationships within the family and peer groups, as Andre tries to re-gain his sense of purpose. He's knocked out of the game and doesn't see how to recover. In the end, he gets back up again. You will laugh, cry and applaud him while he continues to run the bases to hope, to victory and on to a new normal.
In addition, to offering viewers exciting and excellent entertainment, we plan to cast and train young people on the art of filmmaking. They are trained on set as Actors and Production Professionals, while doing positive work during the Summer and getting paid.
This contemporary drama is a must see for the entire family.
