Hello To All Readers
My name is Stefan Ramadeen and I am currently a student enrolled in CUNY, studying Computer Engineering. I also work full time and my hobby/passion is photography where I currently shoot in the home base of West Street Studios in Greenpoint Brooklyn.
My Reason:
The reason for this fundraiser is to gather some more money to feed the homeless on thanksgiving day. I know I have started this a bit late and I also know that there are hundreds of other organizations and fundraisers in New York City that both you and I can easily donate to. However I chose this route and decided that I want to get out there and feed some souls for thanksgiving. New York City has a lot of homeless persons that will go hungry on thanksgiving and I would love to bring a smile to a few people's faces on that. I have a lot to be grateful for and it is my duty to give back.
I visit the area of Washington Square Park and Union Square quite often where I see a considerable number of people there asking for donations of food and clothing.
Doing some more further research;
In September 2015, there were 59,305 homeless people, including 14,280 homeless families with 23,923 homeless children, sleeping each night in the New York City municipal shelter system. Families comprise nearly four-fifths of the homeless shelter population.

The Plan:
On the morning of Thanksgiving a group of us made up of my family and friends, would be making sandwiches and juices and start our journey from Washington Square Park in Manhattan to Union Square environs and try to contact as many people as we possibly can.
I am asking for donations so that I can cover more ground and share the blessing of food with those who are less fortunate. The monies will be used to gather more food items like;
Bread
Cold Cuts
Cheese
If you donate $5, that can feed on average 7-10 people.
If you donate $10 that can feed on average 20-25 people. However any donation you give will definitely be appreciate and help towards this cause.
