Happy Tails for the Tripods
Jessa is a year old pointer/pittie mix. She was pregnant when hit by a car. She delivered her babies successfully but her right front leg was fractured at the elbow. So it dangles and while it appears to not cause her too much pain, it's definitely a hinderance.
Belle is a year old pitbull mix. She was struck by the same car and had her left front leg dragged under the car. It is infected and painful and she can't put weight on it.
Both of these sweet dogs need their legs amputated. In addition to that, Jessa is heartworm positive and needs injections after her surgery.
Since 2011, we have rescued well over 600 animals. All special needs animals deserve an opportunity at a long, happy, healthy life just like any other animal. What they don't deserve is being abandoned and discarded at a shelter and placed at the top of the euthanasia list.
Your generous donations allow us to bring in more medical cases like these two and give them a chance for adoption and a new life.
Londyn's bridge to wellness is finally complete.
Shas been adopted and officially moved from San Antonio to New Jersey.
She has a new fur sister named Felicity. She gets to sleep in the bedroom and has been enjoying leisurely walks.
Special thanks to the Kindred Hearts drivers for getting Londyn up North safely; to her San Antonio foster Daniel, who nursed her back to life; and to the many wonderful donors who supported her recovery.
PAWSitive, happy ending complete.
Hi! Remember me? Londyn....
I was spayed two days ago and finally received all my vaccinations. Guess who is ready for a forever home?? Me!!!!!
Back in March I was treated for a venereal tumor. I kicked cancer's butt and tackled my severe heartworms in June and July. Then Dr. Evans treated my Ehrlichiosis.
I am FINALLY READY FOR ADOPTION. ((I have had my rabies, DHLPP and bordatella vaccines.))
I am a 6yr old retriever mix. I have the softest coat of fur now. I am housetrained and crate trained. I walk great on leash. I love to be scratched under my chin. I am a very mellow girl. I will follow you around and I love to sleep under tables. I will bark at people who move by the window but other than that, I'm pretty quiet.
I ride really well in the car and while I am very shy, my tail still tucks between my legs, I don't have an aggressive bone in my body. I love to go hang out at places like "the flying saucer" and I really enjoy slow paced, daily walks. I always get compliments on my behavior. I really warm up to people who talk to me gently.
I don't have any issues with other dogs. I don't really mind cats or kids either. But since I'm low key, I'd be best in a relaxed home environment.
Will you be my forever home?

Londyn is an example of a true warrior. She is a miracle and inspiration! Thank you Christine for making her your mission (after she was rescued from the streets by the brave souls who were there in her time of need). Everyone showing such amazing support and compassion, prove love conquers ALL!
Poor thing! Prayers for her and for you being the Angels saving her and protecting her from any further harm. I look forward to hearing from you with updates. If I wasn't so far away, NJ, I would definitely consider adopting her! What a sweetheart. Well wishes to her!!!
How is she this AM?
Has she found a home yet? Please let us know
