We all watched around the world as the iconic, 800+ year old tower fell on April 15, 2019. Yes! Around the world her grandeur is known. Thousands on the streets of Paris watched, aching as an icon of the City and Parisian culture burned.
It is not only a Parisian landmark and tourism destination, but it's a beloved piece of the Parisian culture and skyline. She looms over the City in her glory. The world will never have another like her.
It is more than a holy place, for she is visited by everyone of every faith, from around the world who revel in the awe and mystique of her architecture.
Loved by the millions who visit her each year, and yet still not enough money to maintain the beautiful structure and design that tells the stories of hundreds of generations.
I am Eric Marie, a Frenchman living in Chicago, and I am on a quest to help the French Heritage Society raise money for their Notre-Dame Fire Restoration Fund.
