Northminster Presbyterian ASP Trip

The Appalachian Service Project Team of Northminster Presbyterian Church is sending 125 adult and youth volunteers to Appalachia to help make homes warmer, safer and drier for some of the areas' challenged residents. This trip significantly impacts area homeowners and their families, often unemployed and/or physically or mentally challenged, by helping to repair and improve their living accommodations without charge to the homeowner. Our volunteers get a life changing experience,  bonding with one another, bonding with the families whose homes they are restoring,  and experiencing the gratitude for the fruits their hard labor has yielded. Until our trip this June (our Church's 13th), we will be conducting a number of fund raising events, which together with each volunteer's paid fee of $300, will raise approximately $60,000. Our budget for transportation and supplies etc., is approaching $80,000. We are hoping to supplement our internal fundraising efforts with this gofundme program.
