Two years I began an unexpected journey to do something in memory of my father who passed Dec 18th, 2016. He was a 20 year Army Veteran of 2 wars both Korea and Vietnam. I knew that I needed to do something positive to contribute to the world in his honor and most importantly, help serve a community that he was a part of.
Seeing my father suffer from post traumatic stress disorder especially in his final months led me to seek out organizations that support our veterans in mind, body and spirit and provide them the tools to harness their own power to tackle the tough moments they face.
Though their are many good organizations out there, I felt the The Courage Foundation, founded by former Navy Seal Commander Mark Divine, was the right choice. They provide programs to support our veterans in mind, body and spirit and provide them the tools they need to lead meaningful lives.
In 2017 I was able to donate over $1,700 to the Courage Foundation. In 2018, that number jumped to a whopping $17,000. With success like that I knew I had to return this year and make this an even bigger event. Can you help me beat last years numbers?
