Norma Jean's Grandmother Work

REASON: Norma Jean has been HOLDING LIFE WHOLE in the Grandmother role, as learned through Grandmother Vi Hilbert, for many years, including the Founding and Convening of The Grandmothers Project: Getting Down To Earth with the Grandmothers in 2003 on Whidbey Island.
ACTION: This GoFundMe is to keep Norma Jean's burgeoning function and influence strong. Her work is felt far and wide. We want to see it continue and grow.
THIS YEAR her active volunteering included:
A. India in January, supporting and learning from Sister Lucy Kurien - our living Mother Theresa serving 1000 children & hundreds of women.
B. April 5th: Being the Grandmother, and Producing - the Golden Rule Day - 24hr webinar. This was an uplifting roll around the world - viewing individuals and projects demonstrating actions that reflect treating others as you would like to be treated.
C. RE-UNITE: Providing Sanctuary and Community Organization. We are responding to the needs of mothers and children, torn apart at the US - Mexican border, seeking asylum from violent conditions. This is a true expression of the goodwill of the American people.
This request is to fund Norma Jean’s Global Grandmother work through the end of 2018. These immediate needs are:

Attendance at Parliament of World’s Religions, Toronto, Canada.
The continuation of work done at the Parliament in 2015.

RE-UNITE work: 100 Hours of proactive support including calls and arrangements for housing, education and community engagement.
Connecting the families with local resources in the spirit of welcome and care. This is an umbrella action of Grandmothers Global Healing Movement, providing a humane presence in service to 2600 mothers and children. Engaging local Grandmothers and Grandfathers to serve where the families are being placed.
The goal is to assure that they are RE-UNITED and integrated into communities.
