Help me with my Paratriathlon Goals

Donation protected
My name is Jonathan Dieleman and I am a T4 paraplegic athlete. I compete in swimming and I am working on competing in paratriathlon. I swimming I have recently found out that I am quite good in my classification level and I am hoping to make the national para swimming team in a couple weeks. I am training hard and transferring this swimming to my training for paratriathlon as well. I have goals of competeing internationally with swimming and paratriathlon, ultimately to make it to the paralympics. The problem with paratriathlon is the equipment is expensive. I managed to purchase a used racing hand cycle last year and am renting a racing wheelchair from BC wheelchair sports association right now. But would like to have my own racing wheelchair, which would be custom built to fit me and allow me to be more competitive. The cost of a racing wheelchair is roughly $5000 so I am asking for half the cost of the wheel chair, $2500, and I will try to find the rest myself from my savings. The other $2500 from my $5000 goal would go towards travel to a couple races later this year as well as some other smaller items of equipment. Thank you very much for your support and I hope to be representing Canada very well in the near future!
