Support Noah - Give him a voice.

Our son Noah is a beautiful, wonderful little boy.  Noah is non-verbal and there are no indications that he will ever learn to speak; but he can have a voice. 

Through an iPad app called Proloquo2Go, he is learning how to use pictures to create sentences and "speak" to the world.  It is truly an amazing blessing!  This app can give Noah his voice.

This program is a specialized app
It is not taught in public school. 
Noah attends a private school that is currently teaching him this program; but it is like learning a new language. With Noahs autism and cognitive challenges this will require time.

Unless the tuition is raised Noah will have to leave this school and attend public school. Noah will be alone in a world unable to speak up for himself. Unable to ask for help. Unable to connect to other children and people. We know Noah  has so much he needs to and wants to say.

We cannot explain our fears of Noah being in a classroom unable to communicate. The worries we carry as we imagine scenarios where he cannot speak out and speak up are frightening. Imagine your child at school unable to express basic needs and unable to tell you what they experienced at school or during their day.

This program will give Noah that voice. It will connect him to people. It will make the world a safer and more accessible place.

Our goal is to keep noah at this school until he is proficient in his language Proloquo2go.

Noah started working on this communication program, his language, in Jan 2015.  He is now able to put together simple  2 picture requests like "want jimmy neutron", or "want Mnms". Noah has come very far but he needs more time to become fluent in his language. 

We are launching this gofundme campaign to raise  Noah’s tuition, which is just about $60,000. This would be to secure his spot for the 2016-2017 year.
