Noahs Journey Through Heart Disease
Donation protected
Hey there, my name's Rebecca and I am a mother to a beautiful boy named Noah. If you know me personally or have been following me you may already know about Noah's story of battling heart disease. This campaign was originally started 5 months ago with the intentions of giving Noah a vacation before his open heart surgery. We were able to take that vacation with the $700 that was raised. I have relaunched this campaign to be directed towards helping with his medical costs, as well as to help us get by while we both take a step back from work to be with our son.
If you haven't been able to follow along, here is a brief summary;
Noah was born with a rare heart defect called TAPVR. He had open heart surgery surgery at 6 days old. He was in the hospital 3 times there after with complications due to his birth defect. At three years old he had his second open heart surgery for another , but different heart defect called sub-aortic stenosis. He is now five and is in need of a 3rd open heart surgery due to the return of the sub aortic stenosis, and also leak of the valve / valve insufficiency. His surgery is set for October 7th with Dr. Kaushal at the University of Maryland Medical Center. He has worked with Noah's heart before and we are really optimistic for good results.
