Noah & MeiLi's Trek to Everest is to raise funds for Noah, MeiLi, & their family. Noah has been diagnosed with leukemia & is currently undergoing treatment at the local hospital. MeiLi has a rare condition called neurofibromatosis which causes tumors to form in her brain. Sadly, there is no known cure at this time for MeiLi's condition. Meeting both of these wonderful children & their amazing family inspired me to make my journey to Everest Base Camp mean something more. 100 % of the money raised will be going to the family directly & we want everyone to be involved along the way, either by sending video messages or well wishes, everything is greatly appreciated.
I will be going to base camp with my daughter Zoe, we are starting our trip June 1st & it will last 24 days. Noah & MeiLi will be joining us through Facetime & daily video messages we will be sending back & forth. The last couple years have been especially hard on Noah & MeiLi's family, as they have had to sell their home & move an entire family of 7 into a small townhome because the medical bills kept piling up. Their father has had to take double shifts at work just to help keep up on their payments, which has taken away valuable time he wants to be spending with his children. Lisa, their mother, puts on a brave face day in and day out & has been the emotional rock that has been getting the family through these tough times.
