No Cell Towers in Front of Our Home

We have been hearing a lot across the country about cell tower installations either in front of people’s bedrooms or on top of their penthouse roof. No matter how each family or neighborhood opposes for cell tower erections in front of their property, telecom companies are the winners. Now the 2018 Streamline Small Cell Deployment Act, S.3157 is being introduced by the Legislators in Washington D.C. that could eliminate all local control over the placement of 5G transmitters on utility poles in neighborhoods across America. Well-meaning but uninformed legislators are championing the rapid deployment of a vast and dense network of transmitters throughout the residential neighborhoods without local authorities involvement. This proposed legislation is attempting to limit the findings that a State or Local Government can deny the placement, construction of modification of small personal wireless service facilities that are not compliant to the Local Zoning Ordinance.
It is well studied and proven by many health organizations that if anyone is close enough to any cell tower becomes a subject for health problems due to Constant, Hazardous Microwave Radiation transmitted from the cell tower equipment. FCC always argues there is no health issue and always backs the telecom companies. However California Firefighters has taken the position on the Health Effects from Radio Frequency/Microwave (RF/MW) Radiation in Fire Department Facilities from Base Stations for Antennas and Towers for the Conduction of Cell Phone Transmissions and succeeded to band any cell tower installation near any fire station throughout California.
Telecom companies such as Verizon are multi-billion dollar company. They have lobbyists, lawyers and engineers and with such strong lobbyist with deep pockets they have succeeded to influence FCC that there are no health issue created by the Cell Tower and now Verizon, AT&T and other telecom companies lobbying the legislators in Washington D.C. to pass the 2018 Streamline Small Cell Deployment Act, S.3157 which will limit local authorities involvement.
California Senate Bill SB649 which was vetoed by California Governor Jerry Brown somewhat is a proof of health problems created by the cell towers. California Senate Bill SB649 Section 65964.2 (3) “did not allow the small cell to be located on a fire department facility". However, this bill did not protect the people of California, it Unconstitutionally and Forcibly exposes California Neighborhoods to Constant, Hazardous 4G/5G Microwave Radiation and this Bill would have allowed Small Cells to be installed in the public right of way in virtually all California residential neighborhoods on any PG&E poll. Verizon gets strong legal support from FCC which blocks the local city planners to interfere with any cell tower projects. Right now there is a cell tower installation in process by Verizon at ““2001 Curtner Ave., San Jose CA 95124”. This cell tower violates the City of San Jose's Zoning Code in Setbacks, Aesthetics for the R1 Residential homes and violates Federal codes in number of boxes can be installed on a utility pole.
Having such radiating equipment to close to my bedroom is health hazard, cancerous, it violates my quiet enjoyment and most important of all it devalues the property. I have contacted to local authorities in San Jose, even the city authorities say they are overpowered by Federal regulations and the wooden PG&E poles are not within their jurisdiction. I cannot fight this alone, I need support through this campaign to fight against Verizon to prevent my family from getting health hazard from this Verizon cell tower being too close to my home and in fact being within 20ft from my bedroom and pointing directly into the bedroom. Winning this case means continuing on having normal life rather than getting cancer from this 24/7/365 radiating Verizon cell tower in front of my house. If I survive this health hazard I will carry my story, my experience through this campaign to all Californians and move on petitioning the "People's Initiative of California".
The scenario given above is not happening only in front of my house and in my neighborhood, it is happening all over California, it could happen in front of any home, in front of your home, in your backyard, in front of any bedroom, in anybody's back yard, in front of your apartment and other densely populated neighborhoods, parklands, churches, land adjacent to schools specially by elementary schools where all the children are vulnerable. You don't have to be a home owner, as a renter you will be exposed directly to this radiating equipment. Children and pregnant women are most vulnerable if these cell towers are in front of their bedrooms.
It is already proven that cell towers will negatively impact the neighborhood in the following ways:
- Potential health hazards from exposure to Radiofrequency Radiation (RFR) that cellular towers & antennas emit 24/7/365
- Violation of City and County Residential Zoning in Setbacks, Aesthetics and Number of Boxes can be installed on the Utility Poles.
- At least 10% to 20% loss in the property values for any cell tower installed in front of any property
- Loss of our quiet enjoyment in our homes due to cell tower installed in front of any property; 24/7/365 humming noise and fan noise in front of our bedrooms.
- Major fire hazard, too close to our homes.
If you live elsewhere in California, our story affects you too. Verizon and other cellular companies are trying to put cell towers up in front of our homes, all over the town including other densely populated neighborhoods, in front of apartments, parklands, churches, and land adjacent to schools. California Senate Bill SB649 got no where, it was poorly written and as a result got vetoed. At this point the Federal guidelines are being used per FCC regulation where local authorities have no power regarding the health issues. Passage of the California Assembly Bill AB57 made the situation worse. Now that 2018 Small Cell Deployment Act S. 3157 is in process in Washington D.C., we the Californians must Act. Each one of us, the Registered Voters of California shall petition our Initiative/Ballot and make it a law within our State. We can do it, people of City of Petaluma did it, as a result Petaluma City Council unanimously adapted a series of regulations that limit how close a small 5G cell tower can be to residential homes and reduce their physical and visual impact on July 16, 2018. In our city, in San Jose what goes on the street light poles and traffic light poles are enforced by the city codes, however what goes on the wooden PG&E pols are not within the jurisdiction of the city authorities all over California. UGLY, noisy and cancer causing Verizon 5G cell towers are being installed on these wooden utility poles, and will be installed every couple of blocks. Only we, the people of California can petition an initiative/ballot to protect our California Declaration Article 1, only the people of California can stop these profit lovers telecom companies at the expense of our health and at the expense of our financial loss. STOP 5G mania, and gain back our quiet enjoyment in our homes.

Our goal is to start with $100,000 to fight this matter Statewide and move on with People's Initiative/Ballot.
