Vets helping vets through fitness

I would like to open a gym that is dedicated to veterans, first responders, like minded patriots and serious athletes with a setup of an old warehouse that is dark with a lot of graffiti and loud music, this place will make you feel like a gladiator and that you are part of the elite. It’s a place where people come train not just workout, but a place where they are going to be pushed and know that they are also surrounded by others like them and that they are part of today’s uncommon warrior. I want a gym to train the today’s warrior, athlete, the professional and the everyday man and woman who refuse to accept defeat and aspires to make a better life for themselves.

This project and goal is very near and dear to my heart because it would mean that we get to help and work with fellow veterans and wounded warriors. I would like to team up with you guys and make it a place that our warriors can come to and feel alive again through physical training and also work on their mental toughness. I would like it to be a place that they feel alive again and that they are making a difference in our community.

Opening a gym that is dedicated to veterans and like mind patriots as well as serious athletes, I want this to be a place where they feel comfortable and alive again. I would like to hire Veterans that have a passion for fitness and helping others. I feel as a veteran myself and given my background in fitness, we have the skills and the right mind set to help push people to become and to achieve their best as well as having excellent work ethic. We are driven and motivated which also makes us great mentors and leaders.  As Veterans are getting out of the military I would like to help offer them a job or internship to see if this is the right career they want to be in. By giving them an internship I would like to help sharpen their skills in the fitness industry as well as help them get educated and certified to become a personal trainer.

 I feel as a veteran that leadership is best shown through example, which is why I feel hiring veterans and like minded patriots as trainers who have been tested in life would make for and be great mentors to our clients. As a veteran we are driven and have an excellent work ethic and leadership skills that makes us great examples to our clients and to the community. I also feel that having an unconquerable spirit, a burning desire to better oneself, and service to your teammates and to our communities are the defining attributes of great leaders. We will use what we know what works and discard what doesn’t. We will innovate and we will treat everyone with respect, encouragement, and sometimes even give some tough love.

 With all of this my mission is to help develop or redevelop mental toughness and promote spiritual growth in our clients by changing their lives and the lives of those they touch in the process. As I’ve said before I would like to hire veterans and like minded patriots as trainers/mentors to help promote fitness within the community. This world is unpredictable and chaotic and as destiny shows that it only favors those that are prepared (in mind, body and spirit). I believe very strongly that with hard physical training, the proper nutrition, and having strong core values are the fundamentals to living a positive and healthy life. As you develop personal growth it encompasses the whole person physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. I also believe that there is an athlete and warrior inside every one of us, but there has to be a drive to push ourselves further then we can even think possible, but with the right guidance we are shown how to unleash that dive in becoming that athlete or warrior that we strive to be on a daily basis.
