To all SOH Raiders alumni’s save the date.
Head Coach Paco Silva is on a mission to bring the football program back to respectability. For two decades the program has been neglected. He’s asking for all alumni’s for help and donations. I’ve sat in one of his coaching sessions and he has the passion and knowledge to get the program back on its feet.
Paco has years of coaching experience at Otay Ranch under Gene Alim, Sweetwater High football coach legend. When we played at SOH we had coaches that cared about the program, and they believed in us to put in the hard work. We also believed in our leaders. Paco cares and believes in the program, and he will bring it back to respectability and its winning ways. The players also believe in the current coaching staff. We just need the funding.
The team is need of new uniforms, equipment and a new weight room. Last season I watched a Bonita Vista football team win the San Diego CIF title, and make it to the State finals and won 12 games. Three years before B.V. won only two games. A huge turnaround in such a short period of time. Mater Dei (Marian) also won the San Diego CIF title, and also won the State title in their division. If these two teams can turn their program around, so can the SOH Raiders.
With the right coaching staff in place and the support of the community and alumni’s we can restore this program back to respectability and become competitive again. With a new ruling in place SOH will now be able to keep its local kids in house and not transfer out to another school.
Paco needs all of our help and support on this big effort. The program welcomes any donations and corporate sponsors. LET’S DO THIS TOGETHER!

We are in a dire state here at Southwest HS, with equipment that is past its prime and in a state of decay.
So if you would kindly donate to our cause a minimum of least 20 dollars USD, this is will be a step in the right direction.
