NM Traveling art making

I am a Landscape painter in Lawrence KS and have the opportunity for one month of slow traveling and art making with my son. I find the arts to be a great platform to build life influencing skills. Since I am an artist I value the skills and character that the whole creative process develops.
I have been working on a trailer and mobile art cart to facilitate for the outdoor painting experience. With this vehicle I am able to access outdoor vistas and views. This art of living as well as the painting experience I find to be a great opportunity for my son and how he will view his options and choices that he will use to forge his future. I cannot predict the future but I can see the value of this alternative educational proposition.

My son has already begun his educational career with the Lawrence Arts Center Pre-School and Kindergarten art based education. So this trip is good timing to take my “bare bones no frills trip concept” slated for myself and modify it to fit and become an educational fieldtrip. A trip where he will be painting right beside me, in acrylic paint not oil, sharing in the process of self-expression while painting, socializing and traveling. I will be taking my work to local NM galleries in effort to make new connections. In step he will have priceless exposure to the art world of NM.

Upon completion of the trip I will arrange a viewing and sale of his work in tandem with photo and video documentation. All funds from the sale will go to a reward system where he can take the money he earns and put it to use on whatever he is educationally inspired by at that time.

All gofundme contributions are going to pay for art materials, fuel and some stays in a few motels. We will have some family support structure while in Albuquerque but I want to paint in 4 cities, Albuquerque, Madrid, Santa Fe and Taos NM. This will be the part of the trip we will need to have hotel accommodations. These cities are close together and will allow for investigation of each within 3 hours of each other. So we will not be far from our support structure.
