Genetically modified for cancer

A lot of information and a little scary and overwhelming to share... Here goes... As a little girl who grew up without a mom.(breast cancer at 40 died) and a father who shortly after(lung and brain cancer at 59 died) passed I wanted to avoid at all cost leaving my unborn children and family too early! I opted to take the genetic test to see my likelihood of developing breast or ovarian cancer (most my moms sisters have had this) I got astonishing results a couple weeks after fighting insurance company's to find out indeed I am brca1 positive and my risk for develop breast cancer is 87% as normal woman are in the 12% or lower range. I was shocked and overwhelmed by this newfound information..... I met with two amazing surgeons who my doctors I work for also approve (big deal when you work for 6 surgeons.) Who decided together to plan for my bilateral prophylactic mastectomy... April 23 2015 a day I will never forget. Help me through this difficult time.... 3 different surgeries! Let's make this something everyone is aware of!!!! I appreciate your contributions love you all :)
