On December 13, 2017, Ebony and Marlo were notified by worried family memebers about a digital article stating that two have broken into someone's home, stole items, and are on the run from the police. Neither of two knew anything about anything. Marlon contacted his Parole Officer to see if he was in trouble or if the media made a mistake. His PO had not even been notified. They've called free lawyers to find out what could be done. Marlon lost his job during Harvey and has been trying to find better ever since. Ebony is currently working at Rue21, but due to the hours given and now this fiasco, she's making little to no money. They were recently evicted and are now trying to get their lives back on track.
What really happened? Ebony and Marlon purchased 2 TV's from a stranger around the 31st of October. The two had been fighting eviction and figured to buy the TV's since the stranger was selling them cheaper than what they were worth. They pawned the TVs afterwards and recieved $200.00. Ebony took the $200.00, bought food, and gave $100.00 to her leasing office to hold off on eviction. They were still evicted only to find out that the two TVs they purchased and pawned from that stranger guy were stolen; They weren't his TVs....
Help me do something about this. All they need is a lawyer and the one they've found who will work the case is charging 500 up front and 2500 for working the case. Because it would be a conflict of interest, they need seperate lawyers. Marlon's lawyer costs 1000 up front and 3000 to work the case. They are being charged with Burgulary of Habitation (according to Newsfix, the Harris County Constable of Precinct 4 on Facebook, and the NEXTDOOR app). They all stated that the police have been investigating for months, but as I stated previously, the two weren't notified until recieving the phone calls, and they have been pulled over for no insurance and speeding... Not once did any officer take them down for questioning. All of a sudden, media and the constable are saying that they're on the run from the cops? Thats not right at all.
Both have been trying their hardest to change their lives and rewrite their stories. Both have criminal pasts, but definitley learned their lessons. Both have been in and out of low paying jobs just to make ends meet; having a background doesn't make career searches easy. Im creating this GOFUNDME with the intentions to help them pay for a lawyer to aid them in this recent case. I've never done anything like this before and if you ask my people, they'll tell you I'm too prideful. I just wanna see my sister and brother make it! I just want to see her shine and stay shinning for once. I witness her and Marlo trying to rebuild their lives after dealing with the consequences of their old actions. I wish all the time that I could just hurry up and get rich so they wouldn't have to worry about this, but life just doesn't work that way. This is the next best thing.
