Buc is a beautiful a Mountain Cur. He is 2-4 years old; only barks when he sees his foster coming with his next meal! He is great with other dogs, and will surely be a highly-adoptable star at an upcoming adoption event. But Buc has a little problem and he needs your help . . .
Sweet Dream House Rescue pulls dogs from high-kill shelters in rural parts of Kentucky and West Virginia. We provide the dogs with needed veterinary care and have them spayed/neutered. As part of our routine protocol, we have all of our foster dogs tested for heartworm and we place them on heartworm preventative.
Buc tested POSITIVE for heartworm, but he was what they call a "light positive" - this means that his treatment won't be nearly as extensive as it is for some dogs with more severe cases of heartworm. Nonetheless, it is an unforseen cost that will not be covered by our standard adult adoption fee and we are asking for assistance to expedite his treatment.

Sweet Dream House Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit, no kill, all-volunteer, all-breed animal rescue. Our shelter is staffed and run entirely by volunteers. We also utilize a network of foster homes for pets ready for adoption.
Our mission is to rescue homeless and abandoned animals, to spay/neuter, vaccinate and provide any needed medical care until they are adopted into loving homes. We are often the rescue of last resort, waiting until other rescues select from the euthanasia lists to rescue those that are not selected.
