Christmas Swim
I had never heard of Glioblastoma multiforme until 20th January 2017 the day my wonderful mum was diagnosed. There was no treatment. Three short months later we all surrounded her as she passed peacefully away.
Since that day The Brain Tumour Charity has become very close to our hearts, raising as much money as is possible to fund research and treatments for this devastating cancer. Personally I would like to see a test for early diagnosis, as once my mum’s symptoms became apparent, it was too late. Maybe one day.
So this Christmas Day I’m facing the cold sea. My brave sister and I going to don swimming costumes instead of cosy Christmas jumpers and heading off for our first ever Christmas Day swim. I’m hoping that a donation to this fantastic charity will encourage both of us to not just test the water with our toes, but to go all the way in.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Happy Christmas to you all!
With love
