As you may or may not be aware a small group of ACU midwifery students have been given the opportunity to attend a study tour to Northern Provincial Hospital Santo, Vanuatu. This hospital relies heavily on aid from overseas countries as it is largely underfunded, as such many of the comforts we experience here in Australia are not afforded to the women in Santo. The goal for our tour is to provide uniforms to the nursing and midwifery staff at the hospital and other necessities such as sterile gloves and sanitary provisions, an estimated cost of $3000+. We are putting a call out to all our friends/family/collegues and any other generous, big hearted people who have a desire to assist us achieve our goal. Please note that all monies raised will go directly to Northern Provincial Hospital - all personal travel costs are paid by the students themselves. It is easy to donate and all donations, large or small will be greatly appreciated. You will also be updated on our progress. Thanking you from :
