Nick's Cross Country Southern Tier Bike Tour

On March 1st, 2021, I will be riding my bicycle from San Diego, CA to St. Augustine, FL on the ACA Southern Tier Route. Cycling across the country has been a long-time dream of mine and due to the pandemic and my industry being shut down the timing seems fitting to accomplish this dream. In the spring of 2020 I lost 100lbs and got into the best shape I have been in years, mainly due to cycling. While achieving this weight loss I realized there was no better time to set out on this journey than now. I have most of the items that are needed for the trip but I am starting this GoFundMe to help raise money for a couple of additional items and daily expenses (video camera to document the trip, food, lodging, etc.) Also, 50% of the donations will go to a local animal shelter - Karma Cat + Zen Dog Rescue Society in Milltown, NJ. They do amazing things to help animals find their furever homes and are very active in the local community. I thought this would be a great opportunity to help raise some money for Karma Cat + Zen Dog Rescue Society as well so they can continue their work saving animals.
