Nicaragua Humanitarian Aid
Since April 18th, 60 days have passed and more than 200 people have been assassinated, hundreds disappeared, thousands injured, and millions of families suffering from heartache and loss. Children have been burned to death, death squads led by our national police roam the streets of our cities murdering and kidnapping innocent citizens and burning their homes. Adding to the tragedy of deaths hundreds of companies have shut their doors already and thousands of jobs have been lost, leading to a significant amount of families who are in dire need of humanitarian help. This repressive government is a Dictatorship that sows terror and has destroyed our sense of security while killing the hopes of a whole nation. The depth and breadth of pain and suffering is unimaginable and frankly unbearable; significant economic losses and deep civil unrest have left our country on the brink of economic and social colapse.
We as committed citizens of Nicaragua are in mourning and in solidarity with the mothers, fathers, and families who have lost everything, many who have lost their children. We are hopeful that we will emerge from this tragedy as a united country and we urgently need help and resources to support these families that have lost everything from their homes to their children. We will direct all funds and resources towards humanitarian aid. This includes medicine, food, clothing, and daily resources that these families need to rebuild their lives.

GoFundMe has asked that we add this information.
My name is Rod Santos, I am of Nicaraguan descent, but grew up abroad due to Nicaraguan conflict.
After hearing of the violence occurring in Nicaragua I reached out to my Nicaraguan friends and asked how to help. The answer was funding for humanitarian aid for those that have been affected by this violence. The plan to get the funds to the ultimate beneficiaries is that I will send the funds to our friends in Nicaragua and they will send updates how the funds where used.
