a LIFT for so many

My name is Bland Odell and I am the Owner of the Express Employment Professionals franchise in Woodstock, Georgia. Express is the 2nd largest staffing company in North America with over 650 offices. Annually a community campaign is launched called "Brand It Blue" and this year I was hoping you could assist us in reaching our goal.

We have chosen Next Step Ministries to be the recipient of our 2016 “Brand It Blue” campaign. Next Step is a day care facility located here in Woodstock, GA that provides care to young adults with special needs, and their families, in a loving and safe Christian environment.

As I began the process of working with the Founder & Director, Lori Baker, she pulled out her "wish list" for the ministry. Lori told me that what they really were in NEED of was a new transfer and mobility lift. She went on to explain that this would not only be vital for their clients, but their staff as well. I tried desperately not to let the terror that I felt show. I had never raised money for ANYTHING; in fact I have never been comfortable asking for money from people. But just as quickly as the terror entered my thoughts, a calm presence came over me and told me, “just do it and let God take care of the results”. I told Lori that she was going to get that lift.

The issue is that the lift is $5,000. And this is where you come in.

Let me explain why this lift would be an answered prayer for everyone at Next Step first.

A. Next Step clients would be able to be moved and transferred in a more comfortable and safe manner. Whether its around the building or to use the restroom.

B. The staff (wonderful caring people!) would be able to serve the needs of their clients without the risk of personal injury to themselves.

C. The lift would allow for Next Step to care for more and larger clients.
