Contractor Steals Church Funds

New Life Tabernacle UPCI ~ Our Story

What started as a small church off West Bodenhamer Street more than 20 years ago, is now an ever-active and growing part of the Kernersville, North Carolina community.  The congregation outgrew the original building in three years and moved to the present location at 1225 Piney Grove Road in September of 1999.

In 2016 we hired a contractor to build our new family life center. It was part of our vision for our church. Our contractor stole (embezzled) over $100,000+ from us and did NOT complete our building. What was done was shoddy and we are left without funds to fix plumbing, concrete floors, doors, gutters, roof leaks, etc, in our new building. It has been very difficult for our congregation to make repairs on top of paying the mortgage on the building. It has left us devastated.  We cannot use the building for our preschool that would have generated the funds to pay for the building.

While litigation is pending and the NC Licensing Board is investigating the contractor, we are drained of funds to complete our building and make repairs.

All prayer and monetary contributions are appreciated and will go to complete the family life center.
