Help Pam get new housing

Hello, my name is Chris, and I started this campaign for my mother, Pam. She has had a rough go of it for the past few years. In 2013, she had to have back surgery. A few days after (she was sent home far too soon btw), I found her in her bed, unresponsive. She was rushed to the hospital, they had to resuscitate her. She was put on a breathing tube and dialysis for a week. It was touch and go but she pulled through, thankfully.

Flashforward a couple years and she needs back surgery again. While getting ready for that early last year, they find some issues with her heart. Turns out she needed open heart surgery. She had a triple bypass done and is still recovery from that. Unfortunately for her, she didn't get the back surgery and is now in constant pain, to where pain pills aren't even cutting it.

To make matters worse, her landlord wants to sell the place she has lived in for 38 years. My mom lives off Social Security and pretty much all of it goes to rent. Rental rates have skyrocketed here in Silicon Valley, and we haven't been able to find anything affordable. The waiting lists for rental assistance, low cost apartments are years long.

My mom is such an amazing woman. She is honestly my hero. She has been through so much and has tried her best not to let any of it get her down. She would give you the shirt off her back (cliche, I know, but it is the truth).

I just want to get my mom into an apartment or house, that she can feel safe and secure in. Where she can turn her attention to finally getting healthy. I can't stand to see her like this. I also want to help get her a car, since she needs one to get to and from her doctors, as well as be able to go grocery shopping.
