New Elementary is the go-to place for great articles about the newest LEGO pieces, and we've been doing it for almost 5 years now – because we love it! But the advertising we have on the site doesn't cover many of our costs at all, which is why we're asking for direct help from our fantastic readers – so that we can bring you more.
In May, we want to send journalist (and LEGO fan!) Are J. Heiseldal to the Fan Media Days at LEGO HQ in Denmark where he will run interviews with various LEGO employees. We also want to have more 'parts festivals' this year where we show you what can be done with the newest LEGO elements, and run building competitions to give you the chance of winning LEGO sets yourself.
While we do get amazing support from The LEGO Group, there are all kinds of costs such as worldwide postage, flights and accommodation. We've always paid out of our own pockets for these and will continue to do so to a degree – after all the LEGO events are a huge amount of fun, but they're a lot of actual work too!
