Newburyport Artisan Winter Village

Spende geschützt
The Newburyport Artisan Winter Village Pilot Project Initiative has been created though the generosity of private investments, loans, as well as revenue raised by the artisans themselves via donation fees of  Chalets rentals.

With that said, the total cost of the Chalets, combined with total cost of the Newburyport Artisan Village Pilot Project has increased from our initial budgets and look to total over $22,000.00. We also wanted to put out nothing less then the best that we could afford, but the risk of going all out on structural design and integrity the best we could won out. There is so much more we could do with additional funding but getting back to zero point is 15k.

Bottom line is that there are additional revenue needed to take the project to another level.

So many people have worked day and night in order to create an artisans winter chalet village pilot project in a little over than thirty days in the City of Newburyport to establish an artisan marketplace, while raising Parks Department revenue for deteriorating tree beds, bricking and gardens.

We now need your help. We have not had any city or grant funding as of yet. We have done all we can based on private contributions and individual donations.

We have put together  a Newburyport Artisans Village  "Wish List" for added necessaries, including Chalet transportation, finishing's, and courtyard decorations, etc.

For starters;

* Upgrade on lumber material for additional construction on the third and forth chalets

* Additional materials for upgrading chalet flooring; linoleum, carpet, etc

* Additional lighting; i.e. outside door lights

* Materials for interior wall upgrade; paneling, etc

* Additional back up batteries and heating systems

* Promotional materials, flyers, a frames and banners

* Chalet Transportation - Flatbed trailer fees

* Additional Labor costs - Our dedicated build team have been working day and night for the past eleven days straight.

More to be listed....

Even without additional revenue we will be putting forth the best product and program possible that we can. But with your help we can take it to another level.

Additional information about the Chalet Winter Village

Our artisan chalets are seasonally decorated "tiny studios/shops" that will be invaluable in attracting customers to targeted market areas in our town. We are presenting the Newburyport Artisan Winter Village /Parks Chalet Pilot project demonstrating the viability of artisan chalets to be incorporated into the Downtown Overlay District via the City Parks courtyards under the Commission's jurisdiction.

The pilot demonstration is permitted to involve up to four chalets to be located in Patrick Tracy Square. The pilot project will demonstrate the viability for expanded projects for the under-utilized courtyards of  Inn Street. The project is also aimed at providing low cost prime retail for artisans while raising Parks and Recreation revenue via the artisan rentals. all while contributing to creating an arts/culture based destination point in downtown Newburyport.

The dates for the  pilot program began on Saturday December 7, 2018  with the opening of the Artisan Revival Chalet Prototype, and expanding to two operating units by December 14th Grand Opening of the pilot. This culminated with a Grand Finale celebration on December 21st, with the adjoining restaurant opening of Thai Lily joining Commune Cafe, Vintage Chic Anew, and Jewel in the Crown as a collaborative celebratory community event. The demonstration is permitted to run thru January 13th, 2019.

Since this is a year-round designed operation, the Artisans Revival now see's no reason for a temporary winter shut down only to re-install in the Spring. In addition to losing valuable momentum, exposure, and time to recoup project costs, the re-install would be an additional costly expense. Time can now be used to book additional Chalet space for the rest of 2019 . It is now preparing to present an initiative proposal for immediate transfer and implementation on Inn St following a January 17th Parks Commission meeting based on a one year trial period with set conditions.

We are sincerely grateful for the sponsorship and collaboration received through the generosity of all collaborating sponsors of this project. Our goal is to make it a permanent expanded edition in 2019. A complete compilation of contributing artist and sponsors can be found in our latest press releases.

Continued rotational schedule of artisans, as well as updates, are posted on our web site; https://www.artisansrevival.org as well as our facebook page; https://www.facebook.com/ArtisansRevival/

We are indebted to all those that have helped us get this far...Now we need to go further.

Together we can make  it happen!
